New Year’s Eve event at Wilson Ranch

December 23, 2022

The Community Activities Committee is pleased to announce our first event:

What: New Year’s Eve fire pit gathering

Where: Caroline Tareski’s front yard (40 Wilson Ranch Drive)

When: 5-6:30pm New Year’s Eve

Beverages: BYOB, Caroline will make some hot cider

Who: Wilson Ranch homeowners, including families and guests

Hope to see you there!

Also, we wanted to use this opportunity to mention the committee’s stated purpose: To enhance the sense of community through inclusive activities and provide a forum for neighbors to get to know each other better. Another goal is to organize fun events that include younger family members. Other plans in the works:

a.  Moonlight ski:  Spontaneous ski session, dependent upon moon, weather and conditions. Caroline has volunteered to initiate the call to action. Next full moon is January 6. Prior 2 days waxing and 2 days after waning all great per Caroline.

b.  Firewise-related activity: The possibility of a happy hour or bar-b-que was favorably discussed and will be brought up for further consideration at a March committee meeting.

c. Summer Community Day:  A variety of options were discussed, but not yet decided upon. Consensus for the best date was September 2, the Saturday before Labor Day. The committee will be sending out an inquiry regarding interest and preferred date.
