The resort community, known as Wilson Ranch, is located on 137 acres adjacent to Early Winters Creek and near the small town of Mazama in the upper Methow Valley.
The area is famous for some of the best cross country skiing in the nation, backcountry & helicopter skiing, fishing, hiking, biking all at your back door.
The Freestone Inn is open to the public, and overlooks a 4 acre lake.
Only 27 home sites and 15 cabins were planned for the area. At Wilson Ranch, open space is maximized to preserve a rural “sense of place”.
Wilson Ranch was planned with a focus on environmental stewardship and “fit” activities. From our community, you can run, hike, bike or ski on a dedicated trail system to the nearby town of Mazama, or 16 miles down valley to the old west town of Winthrop. The ranch borders the Okanogan National Forest which also offers endless outdoor opportunities.
We are very proud of what we’ve planned and built here at Wilson Ranch. We believe that the rural Methow Valley character of the site should be protected, and that all activities should occur with minimal disturbance to the integrity of the land. Equally important is adherence to environmental imperatives of the eastern Cascades – the need for effective water conservation, encouragement of native vegetation and wildfire management, attention to view corridors, and wildlife protection and management.
